Training disadvantaged individuals making the high quality items seen on our site has been a focus in Nepal. During times when demand is higher than normal, the training offered helps keep the extra supply flowing. As we sell more, we are able to employ more individuals and increase our impact.
Many work in small sheds near their home. Others work in nearby converted houses that serve as their factory. This helps decrease the transportation costs for workers.
Hard work pays children’s school fees, health care costs and provides food for their tables. They have a positive impact on their community, as they purchase various goods locally. This circular cycle creates more jobs and creates a more sustainable environment. Support for these people is provided by Repurposed Purse and Upcycled Purse.
